Bermuda Vacation Wish List!!

Today I wanted to share some of the fun that we are going to be having in Bermuda. Just to see if I can get you all as excited about our trip as we are. We have one excursion to take that we know of for sure. And that is a trip around Bermuda with a guide talking about the island and then it goes to the under ground caverns.

These are not ordinary caverns under the ground, but have special awesome things inside of them.

You have stalagmites and stalactites .. all over and these kewl crystals all over with water and walk ways all over under the ground.

It is going to be amazing to take tons of photo's I am sure .. We just cannot wait to go down through these and see them.

That excursion we are signing up for before we leave on the cruise, we cannot wait to see the island. The reason we want to do this one the first day we get there is so we get a run down of the island on the tour so we know where we want to visit for sure the rest of the trip.

Sun Fun in the Surf!!

Ok, weird title for our post this time of year .. but I wanted to focus on some things that my sisters and traveling dolls have had on our warm weather cruises. Remember we are getting ready to go to Bermuda in April this year, only 86 days left. I am so excited to go on this cruise to the warm waters of Bermuda ..

Now two years ago Marsali took Noelle on their Caribbean cruise which went to the Bahama's, Cayman Islands, and Cozumel Mexico. Here they are relaxing on a beach in the Bahama's, they all look so cute sitting there watching the waves.

Here is their view .. why would you ever want to leave the beach, it was amazing weather too, not too hot, but not cold at all, just perfect playing weather.

They explored the rocks and caves on the beach, mama taking tons of photo's of them playing around the area. The memories they were making together were priceless.

Here they are enjoying the sunshine and sandy beach again .. they were so happy to have time to just sit around and do nothing ..

They say that snorkeling is one of the best ways to see the fish and shells and coral reef that are all over these islands. So I am taking my gear when we go to Bermuda and want to find a good beach to snorkel on.

The girls did get dressed and go into town for just a quick trip, Marsali was there in 2007 alone and had seen the area, had some kewl photo's and wanted to see how it looked now. See after hurricane Katrina the town on the island was almost destroyed, it was weird for Marsali to see all the ruins just starting to get fixed up again.

The shells on the beach just past their relaxing area, were almost as big as they are. It was amazing to see how big they really got, but I sure would not want to tangle with the live dudes inside that big of shells.

Winter Fun has Begun!!!

Hello Friends, we took a wonderful walk in the snow .. Marsali and I put on our snow clothes and headed up to the mountain to snowshoe. Mama sat in the lodge while us girls headed out to play in the snow. This was my first time ever being in the snow doing fun things. LOL!!

We were all dressed up in our snow clothes. Marsali has a favorite set that she wears all the time. It is a soft fleece purple with flowers all over it .. very girly.

This time I chose the retired purple set for the snowboard, we are going to do the snowboarding later this winter. I want to try it all this year. For sure snowboarding and skiing .. they both sound fun.

We walked for miles today, Marsali and I decided that we need to get one of those distance counters so we can mark off how far we walk whenever we go out like this. I plan on doing a lot of snowshoeing.

Do you like to go out in the snow and do fun things?? What do you usually do in the snow when you are free to go play??

We had so much fun today, wish we could invite you all to go with us. Our friends are going to do some snow fun with us this winter and our cousins too. So stay tuned for some fun adventures this winter, and hopefully a couple great stories to tell.

Snow??? I Think So!!

Brrrr .. LOL!! Well last night we had maybe two inches or so of snow to see when Marsali and I went outside, it was such a little amount it was not a lot of fun .. WELL .. .. .. this morning you could not say that we have just a little bit .. it is over our heads if we stand on the ground .. lol .. awesome but crazy ..

Mama says the wind is blowing too hard for us to go out and play in the snow right now, but we are hoping to later on. We will have to play in the area she has shoveled for Pooka to go out to go potty, Yuck .. that was a bad thought .. Mama will have to make us more room to play .. lol

The really funny thing was that Mama had to use the broom for the porch to shovel out the snow because the snow shovel is out by the drive way and she cannot get to it right now .. LOL .. we are a little snowed in. Oh and Mama's winter boots are in the SUV too. LOL!! Silly Mama!!

No snow angels right now, we would really be under snow if we did that, since it is over our heads just to walk out there it would bury us if we tried to lay down. It would be kind of fun, but Mama says no outside in the snow today.

Do you have snow yet?? Has it ever snowed OVER your head before?? It is just crazy out there, we for sure got dumped on. We will have more photo's to share later on I am sure .. I really want to go out and play in the snow. So we are trying to talk Mama into letting us go out and build a snowman at least .. Wish us luck talking her into it .. LOL!!

We got SNOW!!

Marsali and I were playing in our room when we heard Pooka need outside, I went and let her out not noticing anything, but when she came back in her back was covered with snow .. beautiful .. real .. cold .. wet .. snow .. it was so exciting.

I ran back into our room and told Marsali and we rummaged in our closet and pulled out our unused snow boots. LOL!! They might get used now that it is snowing. We were sure beginning to think they would not be used this year, lol.

Marsali got her boots on first and rushed me into mine, I was so excited that I was having trouble with the zippers. We did not take time to put our clothes on for a quick trip outside, it was getting dark so we could not be out long. Mama just shook her head but let us go out in our PJ's. LOL!! Kids she said!!

Pooka came back out with us as you can see behind us, she was loving the snow too. Pooka's favorite thing is to chase snowballs, or ice balls really, you throw them for her and she runs chasing it down the path and then tries to eat them. She is funny. We were not out long, it was snowing and cold, but hopefully we are going to go out and play in the snow tomorrow. Not sure what we are going to get to do, but we have to go out and do something fun. I at least want to snowshoe even if we do not go up on the mountain to ski or sled.

Squinkies and Our New Room!!

Mama found some kewl squinkies today with hair .. she got them for Marsali and I for our new room .. Jayd and Kelsyee just got one each too. Jayd's was a dragon and Kelsyee got an elephant. Marsali's were two unicorns, and I got a whale and a turtle.

They are soooo darn cute .. that is not all that Mama got us, see we normally sleep in our sleeping bags, even our old bed was just a sleeping bag on it, but with our new loft beds Mama is going to have real bedding .. today she found us each a blanket in our favorite color.

My new blanket is turquoise blue plain and Marsali's has a white wiggly design on her purple .. Also she got us a little blow up balloon to hang in our room too, just a few neat little things as we start putting together our rooms. LOL

I am sooooooo excited to share our new room, it is not totally done yet as Nana is going to make sheets for our mattresses and then we will have our blankets, but right now we are using our sleeping bags, because we wanted to sleep in our beds tonight. We have not decorated our beds yet, we are going to do some printing from the computer.

Marsali and I are sharing a room with our new loft beds. Marsali's side of the room looks all homey because she has lots of stuff to put on her bed. All of her flamingo's, Eeyores, and dolls are set up on the bed. My side has two ugly dolls, two fairies, and my one doll so I set up my sewing machine and stuff up so that I had at least some fun things too. Now I will have my squinkies too.

YEAH!! We are so excited to have our own room now. The totally best thing of all we got a flat screen tv and each of us got our own lap top too.

Mama surprised us with our lap tops so we can use them for our home school, and share with our sisters, one lap top between 12 of us could get a little hard to share, so now we have three and Mama's.

New Outfit .. More to Come!!

Hello Friends, I have to share something Mama made just for me, now Marsali wants one set in purple .. lol .. I am so happy because I wanted one for a long time and AG only comes out with pink and I HATE pink on me, some girls look really good in pink, but I myself do not. LOL!!

Here is what Mama made for me, you cannot tell good in the photo, but the red has a shimmering strand through it so I sparkle when I have it on, and the leggings are metallic sparkle too. They are almost a little girly for me but I really like it .. Mara now laughs at me. LOL!!

Mama started setting up our room tonight .. we threw our sleeping bags on our beds to sleep tonight because Nana got our mattresses fixed but not the sheets yet. So we just used our sleeping bags. We are so excited to have a room now.

We will share more about it tomorrow or in a couple days when we get it all set up ..

More Snowy Thoughts!!

Hello Friends, I decided to reminisce a little more today about "snow fun". My sisters and brother and cousins have had a lot of fun throughout the years playing in the snow and enjoying time together. We are hoping that we will get to play in the snow some time this year, but we still have had no snow to speak of here.

They had fun going tubing together and Tirya did her favorite thing which is snow shoeing while the others were on the tubes. They just all enjoyed themselves and got out in that wonderful, fun, white stuff.

Later on that day the guys were giving the girls rides in the sleigh and they decided to see whose sleigh and horse were the fastest, and it turned into this contest into a race and on to a fun day riding around enjoying our white stuff. Snow .. .. .. I know I keep going on and on about snow but I miss seeing it, this is my first winter in a land that is usually full of snow.

The next day they took the horses out and just rode them around the mountains, the boys were having tons of fun riding in the snow and enjoying time together. It was fun for Logan and JD to get away from the girls and spend some time out in the woods riding horses and seeing all kids of animals.

Later they came upon Tirya who was out doing some snow shoeing and gave her a ride back to the lodge. It was fun to get a chance at not walking back through the woods as she had been going and going so far.

See, there is sooooooo much that we could be having up in our mountains and around our houses if it would just snow rather than be cold and a little frosty. Sooooo sad.

Fun in the Snow .. .. .. Not this year!!

We are having the weirdest winter in YEARS, sorry for yelling, but it is just so darn weird to have no snow, it is such a novel idea because we are usually buried in snow by now for a month or more my sisters keep telling me. It is my first winter and I am not getting to try anything fun in the snow because we do not have it.

See normally we get to have the chance to build forts and dress up in our snow clothes and heat hot cocoa up to drink to keep us all warm and toasty. They used to have SaraDawn the Pooka to watch over them, now we have Reeses the Pooka who is a little ornery in comparison. LOL!!

They stacked the sleds so cute in the snow on their fun day .. we have no snow to stack them up in and no snow to see cute animals in either .. it has been a dry snowless winter and will be a drought this summer if we do not hurry and get some snow.

Now looking at the year before, they got to have tons of fun, they got to go sledding together. Here we have Chaliene, Logan, Brya and Marsali all sledding and having fun together in the SNOW .. that is the important part .. in the snow.

Then sometimes they would go skiing and snowboarding and have fun in the snow together laughing and getting cold frosty noses. Just look at them all together and enjoying the snow.

Here we have Kailyee skiing along having fun and her brother Kyle decided to run across her skis and scare her, but he ended up making her wipe out and crash. Boy was he in trouble that day, I thought she might really hurt him. lol

The girls found a cave on their hiking, but the Pooka was not happy with them starting to go into it alone, she came running over and looked in really carefully. Someone had held their dogs from their dog sled there and she could smell them. She did not want the girls going near it.

The boys .. Traveling JD, Logan and Kyle found a good look out and they checked out the valley and next mountain out, they were all having so much fun playing in the snow. There is that phrase again, "In The Snow" it keeps cropping up and we keep having none .. so rotten.

Ok, that is enough reminiscent thoughts of winter and snow for today.

January 7th, 2012 Sicilian Christmas!!

Hello blogging friends, it is I, Taryn sharing my Sicilian Christmas. It worked out perfect for us to have our Christmas after Christmas on my real Christmas date, Jan. 7th. See when the world ran on the old calendar system our Christmas was December 25th like normal, but the new calendar system that the world all switched to made that date Jan. 7th, so we kept the original time of Christmas. Confusing you yet?? LOL!! So many countries overseas have Jan 7th be the day of Christmas. Christmas starts our year out instead of ending it like the US. Kewl hu??

We got to go over to see our cousins finally. We love visiting them and having fun doing crazy things. Our last post was going over and being there, this post is on our Christmas gifts. LOL!!

Now, see, when Emma and I get together, we get a little insane. We love to torment our sisters a little anyway, and we just feed off each other. We never do anything bad or hurtful, just ornery. That is just how we are. As you see, we have flashlights in our hands, ready for everyone else to fall asleep so that we can wake them back up and start the chattering back over again. LOL!!

You could not see really good, these kewl flashlights shine in the color that they are, that was awesome .. the bummer thing about staying up until 2 am to bug sisters is we were really tired the next day. LOL!!

Since they did not get up or really acknowledge us at 2 am we tried harder at 6 am to get them all up and ended up scaring some of them, it was awesome. This time though everyone got up to open gifts, and was excited by the fun of the day. It was our Christmas and we were all ready for some fun and gifts, it had seemed like we had waited forever for Christmas to get here.

Marsali was totally shocked, she got her 25th Anniversary Josefina she figured she would never get. Mama usually only buys us dolls from Amazon because they are so much cheaper and Marsali was sure Mama would not get her the doll she wanted. She is so spoilt she should have known since she really wanted it she would get it. LOL!! But it was a really good surprise, I was happy she got her doll.

Our cousin Emma, my partner in crime got a bag of coal in the top of her stocking. It was so funny because she did not even look at what else was in her stocking she just pulled out her coal and said. "I thought that was just a myth, maybe I should be good from now on. Naaaaa" and laughed, it was one of those too perfect moments that can only be shared with another ornery person. LOL!!

Novya on the other hand just pulled her blanket up over her head and thought we were all insane for getting up at 6 am in the morning even for Christmas gifts. LOL!!

Kimmy was as shocked as Marsali and they thought that it was sooooo funny, they both ended up with the Josefina girls. Our Mamas were very sneaky this year.

We all had a lot of fun sharing our gifts and playing the rest of the day. It was fun to spend time with our cousins.

Arriving for Christmas after Christmas ..

Today we arrived at our cousins, it was fun to finally arrive after the long drive to get there. We wished that we all lived closer, but at least we get to visit more than some of our cousins we only see a couple times a year if we are lucky.

When we got downstairs to the girls area they were just finishing up decorating the tree for our Sicilian Christmas .. or European Christmas many of the countries celebrate on Jan 7th which was the original Dec. 25th before we changed the calendars.

Mama was having to much fun playing with her camera and the settings and this one kind of turned out funny, it is the Christmas tree in the middle and us around it but you can only tell there is Emma on the right side. Just a fun weird one to add. LOL!!

Heather and I made good friends while we were visiting. She is a neat girl and brand new to the family, so this was our first meeting and we had fun playing dolls all evening. I think Aunt Mary is going to have to get her a doll of her own now. LOL!!

Vienna and Maggie email all the time and have fun talking so they were in their element, Novya joins with them when they are all together. She and Maggie made friends on the cruise.

Taryn and Emma spent the evening playing Ugly dolls and planning things that we were sure would not be the greatest of plans. We know them to good.

Heather and I fell asleep talking while our stockings sat ready to be filled.

Sleep away is what we did .. stay tuned for more of our adventures, as Taryn and Emma were plotting away I am sure of it.

Christmas after Christmas!!

We are all very excited today, Mama packed our stuff to go see our cousins again. The kewl thing is we are going to do Christmas this weekend with them as Vienna and my Christmas is January 7th. Mama has a bag of wrapped gifts for us to share with our cousins and open at their house too. This is Marsali's second Christmas with Aunt Mary, but all of us's first Christmas with her girls. Marsali is the only one who has been here for other Christmas's, Vienna and I came to live with Mama this year.

Not much has been going on here at home, Mama has been working on things for the store and Marsali and I have been trying them on and helping her take photo's. It has been a little boring after all the Christmas fun of the season.

We are getting excited about the cruise to Bermuda, and hope to see the big sink hole in the middle, but Mama just laughs at us for believing that. But it looks like it could really be there, and do you see the ship sinking in it?? Awesome!!

Mama and I have been working on some new ballet outfits .. she tried one that I designed with Red White n Blue colors for 4th of July. Do you like this one??

We leave in the morning for a visit to our cousins, cannot wait to go have fun and Christmas. We packed stuff for a sleep over and we are so excited.

Happy New Year

to ALL our

Blogger Friends!!

We are so excited to start a new year of blogging and sharing our fun with everyone. I am so happy that we have had great years before and that this year will be even better. But we can only do that if you friends stick with us, as we are nothing without you. So Thank You for making this a great year and we are looking forward to the next few years with you.

None of us girls are into those "Resolutions" that so many people make for the new year. The ones that go through January maybe into February, but usually do not make it into March. LOL .. at least that is how ours usually run. We are trying to make our blog one that everyone will enjoy .. and that would be our main Resolution for the new year.

January 2011:

It was a wonderful month for Marsali as her sister Vienna came to live with the family. Vienna fit in and has enjoyed being in the family too .. with her brought a new animal into our family too .. she is in love with sea turtles, they are so adorable I can see why she loves them, we now have several turtles around the house too. LOL!!

February 2011:

During February we had traveling visitors; JoJo and Catherine came and spent some fun times together. We have missed having other girls over to visit us and go do fun things, we do not spend as much time doing things when it is just us girls. LOL!!

March 2011:

In March Tirya arrived and started her travels in Texas. She had so much fun traveling around the whole year, seeing new places and meeting new friends. For us, March was spent together and doing indoor warm things, and interviews on the blog.

April 2011:

Nothing really exciting in April until we had 10 new foster sisters show up on our door stop. We did have a contest and Emily and Coco ended up winning that one .. But the month was quite uneventful.

May 2011:

In May we had all of two posts, Mama got a new sewing machine and started spending all of her time on it. So we got a bunch of new outfits but did not get to post much .. it was a boring for being left alone but productive because she sold a lot of dresses, time.

June 2011:

Can you believe that we did not post one time in June either. Mama was sewing and really sick and we got forgotten to share what we were doing during the month. Poor Us ~~Girls~~ Kids!!

July 2011:

This was the best month of the year .. do you know why??? I arrived for Mama's birthday. She and Marsali came to the new store in Seattle and picked me out to come home and live with the family. It was awesome to have a wonderful home to come to and be a part of a real family too.

August 2011:

The month started out with us getting ready and starting back to school. Then our friend Sophie came to visit so she could go to the cruise with us, we did some fun riding horses and playing around together.

September 2011:

We had so much fun on the cruise, but Mama over did it so she was sick after we got home with her Lupus, so we did not get photo's put up or blogging done right after the cruise to Alaska. We were so excited to go to the AG store both before the cruise and after it. LOL!!

October 2011:

We did not do a lot of wonderful things, but we LOVED going over our cruise and all the fun that we had on it. We had so much fun even if it did rain almost the whole time.

November 2011:

This is a busy month for us, we had a few sisters and our brother changing schools to focus on what they want for their future lives. It was a great switch for them, but we miss them at the same school. We started all of our recital, skating, and show practices, life got so busy that most of us just melted into the shadows. LOL!! Not a lot else going on.

December 2011:

Christmas month was so much fun learning about our heritages and how we would celebrate if we were in our countries. Then getting to celebrate and do at least some of our traditions during the month. We got our piano and music room so we enjoyed spending time singing and playing and having fun together as siblings. It was a wonderful night and here we are with it over and the new year beginning.

We do not plan on having any new kids coming to our house now, but you never know about that, they might come up with someone that Mama cannot say no to being part of our family but she is going to try to just enjoy us kids and our lives.

We love all of you friends out there in blogging land, you are so special to us and we are so glad that we have had this time with you and will have more time as it goes on ..

75 Followers Drawing Coming Up!!

Wow, we wanted to say a big THANK YOU for our 76 followers .. we are so excited to know that people love listening to our crazy lives. We were supposed to have a drawing from all of our followers for 75 and we did not get it done and now we have 76. LOL!! Thanks everyone that makes us feel like we are doing something right anyway. LOL!!

Since we do a shoe drawing I will be putting everyone's name that is on the followers list in a hat and drawing one out for a free pair of shoes from the store. If you do not follow us and want to be in the drawing get yourself to follow us in the next few hours and we will be doing the drawing on Saturday when I have time.

Today Mama and I were working on taking photo's of her new invention. Emi wanted a snowman outfit for her Tap dance group to use for their show and Mama created one for her .. I thought it was really cute and wanted her to make some different Tap/Ballet outfits for the store.

Mama loves to make things us girls are wanting, sooooo she created these. A couple of cute ones, red with white under skirt and trim and then blue and silver strands in the other one.

I loved the burgundy one too .. do you think they are cute?? Mama is going to make a bunch of colors to go in the store and on ebay too.

Well, it is after 9 pm and I am going to go watch a movie with my sisters and then go to bed. We do not have to go back to school until Monday January 9th. When do you start back??

Back to Normal??

Wow, Hanukkah and the normal Christmas are over, we are still having "Christmas after Christmas" with our cousins. Me, Marsali and Vienna are going over to have Christmas with them at least, and our Christmas is Jan 7th so that works great for us too.

We have been having fun taking turns playing the new piano. Now I can take lessons from Loryn too, she is amazing and makes all of us sound like babies. LOL!! I am also playing the violin some too, we are just starting out, Mama wants to get a sax somewhere, I would love to try it out.

It seems like the world is so dead now that all the Christmas hype is over. I am just not sure what good things to talk about now. LOL!! We do not start school back up until Monday the 9th of Jan. We are leaving our decorations up until after the 7th of Jan because that is our other Christmas for the European kids. It is kewl to have more than one Christmas. LOL!!

We do not have any snow to go out and do things in, that is so weird for this time of year. It has hardly any snow up on Tollgate mountain either. We are hoping that while it has been raining down here the last two days it has been snowing up there so we can have some fun winter time. The Pooka loves the snow and playing in it. Here she is last year playing in the snow.

Well that is all I have to say tonight .. LOL!! I think I might relive some albums for you too next time. Share some of our fun .. or if you have any ideas that you want to hear about we could share with you.

Christmas Morning!!

What a great Christmas morning we kids had. I came away with a haul because my sisters got me just what I wanted even though we were supposed to just get our secret sister gifts. LOL!! Marsali said that it was 'First Christmas' luck .. LOL!!

Jayd and Marsali each got me an ugly doll so I have both of the ones that I was wanting, I totally love them. Mama got each of us kids a new hot cocoa mug, mine is a polarbear, my sister Kelsyee got me a little polarbear stuffed animal. Mama got us all Wii controls of our own in kewl colors, so we will not fight over who gets what. LOL!! And my best friend Paige sent me a stocking for my Jan 7th Christmas with a cute polarbear in it. I was so excited by my first Christmas.

As I said each of us either got a mug or glass from Mama for Christmas, Emi got Tirya a little stuffed Moose too, because she loves Moose. And she got a glass with Moose on it too. Of course Mama put candy in the stockings too.

After we had all opened our gifts .. the older kids headed for the music room, since we do not all fit in the same room really. They are allowed to drink hot cocoa or tea in the music room, just not near the piano. Mama sent the rest of us to the library. LOL!!

We had so much fun spending time together and laughing, it was a blessed Christmas time. For us we are not normally into lots of gifts, we are into the spending time together as a family. Like in Sicily where I was born, we have a tradition of telling each other things that have meant a lot during the year or how a sister/brother did or said something that was special, just spending time building each other up on Christmas. This year was a very special year for me because it is my first Christmas with my family.

Marsali has a gift coming, it was a little late because the order did not go through when Mama ordered the first time so she called the store and had Anna send a Mini Christmas Josefina here. Marsali loves Josefina, so she is excited that her new doll is coming to stay with her.

Well, we are getting ready to take a drive with our friends up to see if we can find any elk or deer in the woods, just a fun time of talking and laughing, I have to get changed into my new sweats outfit and be ready to go.

Hello again .. two posts in one day, LOL!! Well we all got in our PJ's this evening to get ready to go to bed and await the morning of Christmas.

Mama had decided that our stockings were too little and not personal enough this year, so what did she do??

She decided to make them on Christmas, we were afraid they would not get done in time to hang them up, but she and Nana did it together. A couple of them were so thick that Mama broke her needle and made Nana finish those thick ones for her. LOL!!

Merry Christmas Eve!!

It is Christmas Eve, anyone else exctied about Christmas being here?? It seems like we just started December. This month and year has gone so fast. I cannot believe that I have been in my family for almost six months now. KEWL!!

We are sooooooooooooo excited, stoked to the top .. awesome .. wonderful .. in awe .. our Christmas surprise for the night is our new GRAND PIANO!! We are totally shocked and in awe that Mama actually got us a new piano. It is our Christmas and Mama's main Christmas this year. Here you can see the music room all decorated for Christmas. It is amazing so awesome. You can see Marsali's music stand she uses for her violin, and Jayd's harp too.

Mama also found us a really cute Nativity scene to go in the music room by the piano, it is so cute.

Our chair area is not very big now that we have a grand piano in the room .. lol .. Mama says we can have small treats and really small hot cocoa in the music room but nothing near the new piano.

Here are our cute mugs from Alaska that we got while we were on our cruise to Alaska in September. And Sarafina baked up some really cute Christmas cookies.

Our stockings are all hung, waiting to get them filled. All of us love getting stockings of stuff from Nana and Mama. It would not be Christmas without stockings .. LOL!!

Wow, what a long day yesterday was. We had to spend hours in the portrait studio made up of our library. LOL!! It made for a long day, and we are not done because Mama decided that we are going to have second sets for some of us because the first set did not turn our good enough. Hanukkah Fun!!

Hello, Loryn here to share a little about yesterday December 20th, our first day of Hanukkah. Lynsy started the lighting because she was the first born of us triplets.

Lynsy is a wonderful sister, she is the best big sister in the world. My brother Logan and I are thankful for her. She said the blessing and lit the first of the candles for us.

We love doing things together, so taking turns lighting the candles are normal for us. We light the candles with the Shamash, which is the middle candle, at night fall and leave them lit for about a half hour.

We sat down this first day and Mama had three little gifts for us. They were for the first day of Hanukkah.

We got candy money to use to play dreidel with this week. We love to use the money and then be able to eat our winnings. LOL!!

We had a really fun time for our first night. Thanks for reading.

Hey everyone, it is Emi, I know I have not shared so much lately, been what Mama calls a forgotten sister. Poor me. LOL!!

Tirya and I are both Russian, we just had different Mothers so she is Egyptian/Russian and I am Eskimo/Russian. I celebrate both US Christmas and Russian Christmas.

So our Russian Christmas is Jan 7th. as is her Egyptian, and we actually celebrate more of New Years than Christmas, it was because, in 1917 they banned religious celebrations, which included Christmas traditions, so our Russian people re-invented New Years to have a tree and Grandfather Frost, or Ded Moroz that would come to our house in a blue suit on New Years and leave gifts. We still celebrate Christmas, but our true fun holiday is New Years.

You might wonder why we celebrate on Jan. 7th, it is because of the old Julian calendar, and the new Georgian calendar, the way the dates laid when we all switched to the new calendar Jan 7th is the original date of Dec. 25th, It was just called Jan 7th now.

On Christmas we start our celebration when the first star appears in the sky, so you always hope that you can see the stars, or guess at the time they would be appearing. The kewl thing about living here or in our home town in Alaska we always could see the stars, well unless there was a storm.

As soon as our star appears we start our festivities. All of our food is lenten, but we have fun stuff too, no meat is eaten though. Our meal is called "The Holy Supper". Our family gathers, honoring the Christ Child, a white table cloth symbols Christ's swaddling clothes, you have a small amount of hay that symbols where Jesus was laid, then a tall white candle that symbols Christ 'the Light of the World', we then have a large round loaf of Lenten bread, as Christ is the bread of life, and it is placed by the candle. Then the Father of the house says the Lords prayer blessing everyone, and the mother goes and blesses each person with honey. We then eat our dinner and enjoy our family time, yet her at home now we do not observe all the rituals that the Russian Orthodox people do.

Tirya's Egyptian holiday is the same Jan 7th but is a lot less ceremony than a Russian Orthodox is. They center around the nativity of Jesus birth and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus spent time in Egypt and his family, so they feel a close bond to this holiday.

Tirya's feast on Christmas Eve is usually a traditional meal of fata, (rice, garlic and boiled meats), and qurban, (a biscuit marked with a cross and 12 dots, representing Jesus and disciples). Then on Christmas morning it is visiting with friends and family and sharing a wonderful time reflecting on the season.

So those are a few of our traditions and information. The rest of the family celebrates the normal US style Christmas, without the commercialism, we do not normally get tons of gifts, but more just spending wonderful family time and lots of great food.

Irish, Scottish, and Welsh Christmas!!

Time for me to share my Irish, Scottish Christmas traditions and then Kelsyee will share her Welsh traditions.

Irish Christmas is "Nollaig" which means birthday, as this is the birthday of Jesus, it is mainly celebrated in church. In Scotland it is "Nollaig Beag" which is Little Christmas. The main decorations are the Nativity scene and Holly which is a very available plant in the Celtic countries this time of year.

The next 11 days are party days and lots of fun. It ends on the 12th night which is Epiphany or the celebration of Jesus Baptism.

One of our big traditions is putting a candle or light now in our window on Christmas Eve, it is for welcoming Mary and Joseph who sought a place to stay on that first Christmas Eve. Just showing we would give up our bed for them.

Also for centuries we would set the kitchen table after our evening meal, with bread filled with caraway seeds and raisins, a pitcher of milk and a large candle so they could come and eat as well.

The songs gifts are hidden meanings to the teachings of the faith. The "true love" mentioned in the song doesn't refer to an earthly suitor, it refers to God himself. The "me" who receives the presents refers to every baptized person.

Those are the differences of old Scottish and Irish Christmas traditions that we found, it is celebrated a lot like normal US Christmas's.

Hello, Kelsyee here to share a few things that I found out about my heritage traditions for Christmas.

We use lots of hobby horse decorations in our Christmas decorations, those ornaments represent an old Celtic tradition. They used to put a horse head (not real) on a long pole, with mistletoe and ivy decorations, then like a May pole they would then dance around it. It was a celebration for the dark winter ending and the New Year beginning. Then children would play with the horse and it became a child's toy.

Our primary decoration is mistletoe, it is a magical plant, and is hung as a branch over the doorway to protect the house from storms, hung over the cradle, to protect the child. They believed that Love would be brought to anyone who came into a house with a scent of mistletoe.

Anyway, that is a few of the wonderful traditional fun things about our Christmas, we do not do a lot different in celebrating it, and do the same dates.

I will be sharing my Sicilian, and my sister, Vienna's Eurpoean traditions for Christmas and New Years, our holiday season actually runs from Dec. 6th to Jan. 6th, but not every day. We have several different holidays, or big feasts that we do during that time.

December 6 - Marks La Festa di San Nicola (Feast of St. Nicholas), the patron saint of shepherds is celebrated in towns with the lighting of fires under enormous cauldrons, where fave beans are cooked, then eaten ceremoniously.

December 8 - L'Immacolata Concezione (Celebration of the Immaculate Conception) Celebrates when Mary without sin conceived the baby Jesus and became pregnant to carry our savior. Big feast and lots of ceremony.

December 13 - La Festa di Santa Lucia (St. Lucy's Day) St. Lucia is the patron saint of the city of Syracuse (Sicily), where she was born. Celebrations take place on the 13th of December, she brings gifts to good children and coal to bad ones the night between December 12 and 13. She arrives in the company of a donkey and her escort, Castaldo. Children are asked to leave some coffee for Lucia, some flour for the donkey and bread for Castaldo. They must not watch Santa Lucia delivering these gifts, or she will throw ashes in their eyes, temporarily blinding them.

December 24 - La Vigilia di Natale (Christmas Eve) A tradition is eating a seven fish dinner for Christmas Eve, our big day in Christmas. Instead of writing letters to santa for things that they want, children write letters of love about their parents, and then traditionally they are read after dinner on Christmas Eve. We do not have the commercialism of wanting gifts and toys for Christmas.

December 25 - Natale (Christmas) Buona Natale! As they say! Another feast day, but not gifts.

December 26 - La Festa di Santo Stefano (St. Stephen's Day) Which marks the announcement of the birth of Jesus Christ, and the arrival of the Three Wise Men.

December 31 - La Festa di San Silvestro (New Year's Eve)

January 1 - Il Capodanno (New Year's Day)Our New Year celebration is traditionally Lasagna, which my mom has for us to share this year too. It was good luck to eat Lasagna on New Years on the island.

January 6 - La Festa dell'Epifania (The Epiphany)Epiphany commemorates the 12th day of Christmas when the three Wise Men arrived at the manger bearing gifts for Baby Jesus. The traditional Christmas holiday season in lasts through Epiphany. Traditional celebration includes the tale of a witch known as La Befana who arrives on her broomstick during the night of January 5 and fills the stockings with toys and sweets for the good children and lumps of coal for the bad ones

The traditional decoration of the Sicilians and Europeans is the Nativity Scene, we celebrate actual Jesus birth which is what started Christmas, so it is huge in our tradition to have the Nativity scene and live nativities run from Christmas through Jan 6th the Epiphany or Jesus baptism. We do often now have Christmas trees as decoration, but they are not our main Christmas traditions. Also on Christmas eve big bon fires are burnt to keep baby Jesus warm in the cold night.

That is our main celebrations for Christmas holiday season. Just a little more information for you. Thought you would be interested.

Our Different Holidays!!

This year will be my first year to celebrate holidays with my family. When I say holidays, I really mean it. LOL!!

We have several different things to do:

Loryn, Logan, and Lynsy are Jewish so they celebrate Hanukkah. Hanukkah is Dec. 20th through the 28th this year. They are excited to teach us some of their traditions and fun for the holiday.

Vienna and I celebrate a European (Sicilian for me) Christmas that is different than US style Christmas. Celebrated from Dec. 6th to Jan. 6th.

Jayd celebrates Irish/Scottish Christmas, Irish has 12 days of Christmas and New Years from Dec. 24th to Jan. 6th. Scottish is like US with different customs too.

Kelsyee celebrates Welsh Christmas, with holiday traditions normal Christmas dates.

Tirya is Egyption/Russian Christmas, Egyption and Russian Christmas is celebrated on Jan 7th.

Emi is Eskimo/Russian Christmas so she celebrates both US Christmas and Russian Christmas on Jan 7th.

Marsali is Mayan Indian, and she has no idea what holidays they celebrated and so she does her American Christmas.

We will start sharing some of our holiday traditions with you each day so that you can kind of see how traditions are different in different cultures. We have done some study of different traditions this year so that all of us could go with our heritage.

I am Loryn, here to share some wonderful traditions. The photo is my sister Lynsy, with the glasses, my brother Logan, and myself. Our holiday for this time of year is Hanukkah. Hanukkah means "Rededication" and we start celebrating on the 25th day of the Hebrew month of 'Kislev' which starts on Dec. 20th this year, through the 28th of this year, so we start lighting the candles on the 20th and playing the dreidel.

We start by lighting the last candle on the Menorah the first night and working towards the left. Traditionally the Menorah is placed outside the door to the left when entering, but if you do not have a good place to put it outside, it can be put in the window. The candle in the middle is called the Shamash it is held with the right hand and you say the blessing and light the right candle first. Candles are traditionally lit after sunset and remain burning for 30 minutes.

The First Blessing Praised are You, Our God, Ruler of the universe, Who made us holy through Your commandments and commanded us to kindle the Hannukah lights.
The Second Blessing Praised are You, Our God, Ruler of the universe, Who performed wondrous deeds for our ancestors in those ancient days at this season.
The Third Blessing Praised are You, Our God, Ruler of the universe, Who has given us life and sustained us and enabled us to reach this season.

Then you have a gift for each person each night, just something small. Traditionally at least from the way we were taught, it is a small gift like chocolate coins or something like that but can be a larger gift as well. The coins stand for our Jewish independence when we were able to have our own symbol on our money.

Hanukkah food, traditionally we have cheese pancakes for our main meal, cheese came from the history of Judith, she fed our enemies cheese, which made him thirsty and he drank too much wine and she cut his head off, so eating cheese delicacies became tradition. We use Potato Latkes, dough balls and sufganiyot, all kinds of good fried foods that are made in oil to represent the single cruse or pitcher of oil. They had only enough oil to burn for one day, and it burned for 8, thus the 8 days of Hanukkah.

And the last big thing is the dreidel that we play during Hanuakkah, the Rabbis allow games of chance and the dreidel became the most favored and traditional game for Hanukkah. There are four sides with four different Hebrew letters. Players have coins, nuts or other objects that they play with, and each in turn would spin the dreidel and play as follows:

Nun - Take Nothing - you do nothing with your turn.

Gimel - Take Everything - you get the whole pot.

Hei - Take Half - you get half of what is in the pot.

Shin - Put in - you place one of your 'objects' in the pot.

Traditionally it is 'Nes Gadol Hayah Sham' "A great miracle happened there." And the main song for Hanukkah is Ma'oz Tzur, which is "Rock of Ages".

Rock of Ages, let our song praise Your saving power.
You amid the raging throng were our sheltering tower.
Furious they assailed us, but Your help availed us.
And Your word broke their sword when our own strength failed us.

Today is the Day!!

Merry Almost Christmas!! I am excited about our contest coming up today. We now have three entries. I am going to post all the photo's on the 15th of December. Then our friends, AuntieG, Nana, and Mary will vote on who they think is the winner for the dress and I will announce it on the 18th probably. We cannot wait to see who is the winner this year.

Our foster sisters, Samantha, Kirsten, Addy and Kailey that were staying with us for a few months are headed to their new homes tomorrow, they are excited to see what their new lives will be like. We are sad to see them go, but we knew when they came to live with us that they would only stay a short time.

Right now we are watching a movie with FONZY playing an older uncle it is cute. The Most Wonderful Time of Year!! Not a great kids movie, not that there is anything bad in it, but it is a cute love story style movie.

The other one that we love and is sooooo funny is Holiday in Handcuffs. Oh my it is amazingly funny, or at least we thought so. Again it is another very happy ending of course, they are all happy endings.

Sorry for all the movie reviews, we watch a lot of movies leading up to Christmas in the evenings. It is one of our family traditions, we watch movies and laugh and have fun together as a family. Loryn is even home with us several evenings in this week, we are so excited to have her home too.

Christmas Contest!!

Ice Crystals & Contest

Good Evening my friends, hope you are doing great .. we are just getting home from the Christmas Caper show and my sisters say it is soooooo good to be done for a few days. It went super great, no one forgot their lines or their dance moves, it was a great success. Only three more performances left, for the girls, two for Loryn because she has her skating too.

We went shopping with our friend Chaliene yesterday in Walla Walla. It was so much fun to get out of the house and find a few fun things to do. On our way over we came into some heavy frozen fog that was freezing to our window as we drove, the defrosters and whippers were going as fast as they could to keep it clear enough for mama to see out. Between the fog and slick roads, it was a wild ride for all of us. LOL!!

The frost was so beautiful all over the ground and trees, we got some kewl photo's of it to share with you all. It just looked so kewl sticking out from the branches.

Amazing Photo's .. I will just share some of my favorites .. .. .. I love the last one with the fall leaf that was caught in the ice.

We got Nana's birthday present while we were there too, her birthday is December 16th, so we had to get her a little something from us girls. We cannot tell you what, just in case she reads our blog which she does not do, but would start just because. LOL!!

We got some KEWL Christmas movies for just 5.00, and so we have been watching movies and drinking hot cocoa. We are in love with the movie, "I'll Be Home for Christmas", it is a great story and of course has a happy ending, they all do, but we just love this one.

Mama says we will be so tired of hot cocoa by the end of the season we will not want anymore until next year. LOL!! We put our candy canes off the tree in our hot cocoa and had peppermint cocoa this evening while we are all laughing and goofing off. Mama got some different flavored candy canes for us so that we could try different flavors in our cocoa too. That will be really fun to try.

Something Going On!!

Hello Friends, there is something going on in our house, but we have not figured it out yet. Mama is not allowing us to go into the music room right now. I have seen decoration boxes going in, but that does not make sense to not have us come help. We just are not sure what it is.

Our Uncle Art sings a song that I love, "Deck the halls with lots of whispers, fa la la la la la la la la .. Tis the season to-oo whisper .. fa la la la la la la la la .." that fits Nana and Mama to a tee right now. I know it is Christmas and all, but really what could they possibly be doing. It is driving my sisters and I crazy.

Marsali and I are sooooo excited about our cruise coming up, we are headed to Bermuda, pink sand and warm sunshine. Oh to play on the beach, do some snorkeling and swimming, it will be awesome, just look at those colors, it makes the waves look almost purple, so kewl.

It is going to be so much fun, Nana is bringing Morgan and then Marsali and I are going with Mama. We cannot wait, it is a little island but has two towns to explore.

Now you might ask how we feel about going to the Bermuda triangle, we are really excited, even though we found what is in the middle of the Bermuda triangle. We want to go and see this in person, Should be awesome.

Tomorrow is the first showing of our sisters "The Christmas Caper", they are all nervous, but excited. I cannot believe that it is here already. Loryn, Brya, Vienna and Emi will be preforming the next three days, then next weekend.

Marsali and I will do our concert on the 15th before the Christmas Caper so the girls can come and watch our performance. So we will be so busy we might not get time to post much.

Thoughts on My Life!! N Christmas Contest!!

Hello dear friends, I decided to take a turn in writing, I have had some thinking time about my life lately.

Our practice is going really well, I have been having so much fun learning the new dances we are doing in the Christmas show. I come out during the musical number twice to dance. The routine has been pretty busy for both sets, lots of moves to learn, but not hard.

Then I get to do a small part where I come out on stage and say two sets of lines, answer one of the lead rolls and then we all dance and sing together for a song. I am excited that I got a speaking part. Our professor tries to give everyone that wants one at least one speaking part. We are a school whose specialty is the theater, dance, and arts, so we need to learn to preform. I cannot believe that we start the shows this weekend, they will be 9th, 10th, 11th, and then the 16th, 17th, and 18th. Loryn then skates on the 14th and 16th.

Anyway, I said that I have had some time to think about my life while I am waiting for the next set to practice. Now having our friends, the Greens and Roses has made me really focus on who I am, and where I might have come from. Being 1/2 vampire is a big deal in my life, but I would like to know about my family that I was born into. Talking to our friends in SA we know that most 1/2 vampires do not have mothers that live, I know my aunt brought me here so I wonder if my mother passed away giving me life.

You know, the SA vampire friends of mine are sure I came from Kali coven, the leader is the Egyptian Deity, Osiris, anyway they say that I look just like the vampires they have seen from Kali coven, but I am afraid to go and see them because they might be like the Ricean vampires that just want me dead.

I do wonder; if that is right, or if not, how did my mother get involved with vampires to even have me, and where could my aunt be, does she see me, or know who I am becoming as a girl? I wonder how she chose my family to bring me to, and if she checks up on me. I would love to let her know that I am fine and am growing up in a loving home that protects me well and understands me or at least tries to understand me as best they can.

Not much else going on otherwise, I love our new tree, we had so much fun decorating it and then singing carols and drinking hot cocoa. I love family times and holidays when we can all get together. The only one missing from our celebration was our sister Tirya, she is still out traveling, but should be home for Christmas soon. We cannot wait.

Setting Up the Christmas Tree!!

Oh, I was so excited last night, Mama has been sick but was feeling better last night so we got to put up our tree. First Taryn made Loryn and I cover our eyes. We were not sure what was going on, but played along.

We heard wrestling and wondered why we needed to keep our eyes closed for a Christmas tree, but it is fun to be surprised so we kept our eyes closed.

I was sooooo shocked, it was my purple tree, I have wanted the Wal-Mart purple tree for a couple years now and they are always sold out after Christmas before I could get one. Loryn loved it too, she wants to get some red n purple hat decorations for it, she loves the red n purple hat stuff with me.

Loryn and I sat right down to start fluffing out the tree to make it look good, it is really kewl because it is pre-lit and we do not have to string lights all over, that is awesome.

After we fluffed it out, Loryn went into her room and got the angel that hangs on her wall to put on the top because we always have an angel on the top of the tree. Everyone came to take a look at it and admire our new Christmas tree.

Then I got out all the decorations that we have to put on the tree. It was so kewl of Aunt Mary to get us our tree, she is awesome. We had enough decorations I was not sure if the tree would actually hold them all. The only thing we were missing was a nativity scene because ours is packed somewhere that Mama does not know, so we are going to go to several stores in Walla Walla in a few days looking for one. Cannot have a Christmas tree and no nativity scene out.

We got some ribbon to be the garland around the tree because we have no idea where the garland we want is, the stores do not have it anymore and ours is packed away. So we we all tangled up in our ribbon and having fun putting it on the tree.

Once we got the ribbon on it was our chance to choose an ornament to put on the tree, we draw names and each person picks one out and puts on the tree. Then it is free for all of who wants to decorate with what. LOL!!

After we decorated the tree we all gathered around the fireplace, sang Christmas carols, and drank hot cocoa. It was a really fun evening.

Christmas Contest!!

Hello everyone, how are you doing today?? Hope you are getting excited for the holidays, we celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah here. Loryn, Lynsy, and Logan are Jewish, so we do Hanukkah for them too, which is Dec. 20th through the 28th. We are all ready to get decorations set up and get our two surprises from Mama and Nana. What in the world could they be?? LOL!!

Ok, Christmas contest .. .. .. Get your cameras ready and a cute Christmasy or holiday scene, we have a photo contest going on now. What we are looking for is a cute photo of your girls enjoying decorating for the holidays. Just doing something to get ready for their holiday, if they do not do Christmas then decorating for the season or another holiday that the do during this time of the year. We want to include everyone in the contest.

The prize will be this dress that can be worn for a Christmas/Holiday dress or works for other times of the year too. We chose one that could be holiday or just daily dressing up wear too. Plus there will be a little surprise with the dress, but cannot tell you what that is because it would not be a surprise then. LOL!!

Movie Night With Cousins!!

Hello dear friends, I have not posted in awhile so thought that I would try it out again. LOL!! While we were at our cousins for Thanksgiving we had a movie night and watched the 'Ice Age Christmas' special. It was really cute and we loved it. Mama even got it for us for $5.00 at Wal-Mart. She was going to save it under the tree but decided we could watch it a bunch of times between now and then so let us have it.

Here we were while we were watching the special with the cousins. Taryn - Kelsyee - Mara under the polarbear fleece blanket. Then Me, Jayd - Angel - Kimmy under my plaid fleece blanket, and last is Samantha - Maggie - Emma under Mara's fleece blanket.

Here are me and my sisters sitting up so that we could see the movie. It was worth staying up to watch it. Have you seen the Ice Age Christmas special?? We love Ice Age here, they are wonderful movies, or so we think. lol

When Taryn got her new kitten the girls wanted to take photo's of us together with our pets so here we are. First is Kelsyee, I added a photo of her during the movie, she is so beautiful. Her hair is just so soft and curly, it is not as curly as it was when she got here, but her whole personality has changed. We love our sister Kelsyee. Her dogs name is Raffy, a friend in VA got her dog for her and she loves him.

Next we will make it to our well known sister, Marsali and her cat Rascal and dog Syara. Marsali loves her dog n cat and luckily they get along great.

Here I am with my pups, Ruff is in the middle, he is my sweet boy that I have had for years. Akara and little Mayzee in her pink ruffle, used to belong to a girl who lived here, but when she went to her new home she could not take them and I kept them for her. They are also Ruff's puppies, he is their daddy, so he loves them both so much.

Well that is the news of the day, we are hopefully decorating our tree tomorrow, Mama got stuff ready for us today so we are excited.

Christmas Tag For Us!!

I was tagged by our friends over at Southern Dolls: A Doll Guide, this is the first time we have been tagged at least the first one that I have seen. I am excited to do this too.

1) What is your favorite part of the holiday season?
We love the carols, when else do you get to hear about baby Jesus even in the big department stores and radio stations. I just love hearing them, knowing others that do not know Jesus hear them too.

2) Who do you celebrate Christmas with?
Well, this will be my, first Christmas in my new family. We have Mama and Nana and then I have 10 sisters and a brother, and 10 cousins. So it should be a wonderful Christmas.

3) What is your favorite gift you have ever received?
I have never celebrated Christmas before so this will be my first Christmas, but I got a new kitten just last week, so it is my favorite gift so far.

4) What are your favorite Christmas Carols?
Oh to choose, Silent Night is my favorite slower song, and I think Joy to the World is my favorite more fast one. I love all of them talking about our Jesus birth.

5) What is your favorite Christmas food?
Pumpkin Cheesecake Roll that Nana makes for Thanksgiving and Christmas ..

6) Can you sleep on Christmas Eve?
I do not think that I will be able to sleep on Christmas eve, my sisters say that it is impossible to do. LOL

7) When do you wake up on Christmas morning?
Early, but Mama and Nana do not allow us to get them up until at least 7am. They like their beauty sleep.

8) What is your most memorable memory?
For me, my best memory so far is when Marsali opened the box and I became part of my new family.

9) What are you Christmas traditions?
I asked my sisters and we have several traditions, putting up our tree together and then singing Christmas carols and drinking hot cocoa. Normally the night after Thanksgiving, this year we were gone for days and then Mama was so sick, so it will be late, but we will still have the night. lol

Then we have our movie nights where we watch all kinds of Christmas movies and drink more cocoa. On Christmas we have games and of course gifts.

10) Do you have a real tree or an artificial tree?
We have artificial, Marsali and Logan fight over who gets to put their tree skirt down, Marali has a purple one with snowflakes and Logan's is a green john deer one that Nana got him.

It's December!! WOW!!

Can you believe that it is already December of 2011?? Shocking how fast this year has flown by. We cannot believe that the year is almost over already. We cannot wait for Christmas, and decorating. Mama has been sick the last few days and we have not gotten our Christmas decorations up, Mama says we have two surprises for decorating this year. We are dying to know what all Mama has planned. We are hoping tomorrow, but probably Saturday, but we shall get lots of photo's.

The dumb blogger would not let us comment for several days, Mama was awake and had this little lap top in bed with her reading blogs, and it would not allow her to comment on anyone's blogs. Dumb blogger. But today we were able to go and comment all we wanted.

I got a wonderful surprise just before Thanksgiving, my sisters made me sit down and cover up my eyes. I could not imagine what in the world could be going on, we were at our friends house and what could my sisters be up to.

I opened my eyes and there was a pet carrier in front of me, when I opened it, a little black kitten came rolling and meowing out at me. It was so cute.

She looks so much like my dear friend Paige's kitty named Jade, I decided to name her Emerald. They are just so much alike and the beautifulest green eyes. She has a little round ball that she loves to pack around and play with.

I am so excited to have my very own animal now, I had not decided what kind of animal that I wanted, but I love my kitten she is such a funny little thing. The best part is that she gets along with all the other animals in the house. We have soooooo many dogs and cats, Mama says NO MORE animals. LOL!!

Happy Late Thanksgiving!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Very busy though, we were at our friends/cousins this year and were so busy we did not get time to do a post or read either. So we are busy today catching up.

Here is a photo the kids took of us, we had to be quiet and still because these little girls did not know we are alive. Mama let us show them at the end kind of. They did not really believe, but they will soon. We know something wonderful.

We played games and had a big sleep over, made some neat food and played with the girls. We were happy to spend the time with our friends and eat some great meals, we even brought home some homemade egg noodles, Hilda's specialty. They were better than Thanksgiving dinner sorta, we did love all the good food, but nothing overshadows her homemade egg noodles.

Right now we are watching a new movie we got, 'The Littlest Angel' it is very old, but so cute. We watched 'Santa and the Martians' before this one, it was funny but really weird too. We bought a series of OLD movies for $5. at Wal-Mart, and these are all these old funny movies and shows. They even had in them the Howdy Doody Christmas movie, that was really weird. LOL .. but it has been so fun watching all these old movies they thought were awesome back when they were made. LOL!!

Sharing Costumes and Dresses!!

Hello Everyone, it is me Vienna sharing some fun costumes and dresses that sisters are wearing for their Christmas shows and concerts. We are really enjoying the time of getting ready for our shows and learning all our parts.

I will go in order of who got there costumes so we are good and fair. LOL!! Loryn's Ice-Skate is the first to come up with their costumes, Loryn is in love with her costume for "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" .. I love it too, I would wear it for photo's if I had one, she is trying to talk Nana into making one for her to keep and wear. Nana actually said maybe for next year. LOL!!

Next we have Loryn's costume to skate to "A Jiggy Christmas" they do a lot of multi-person jumps and roll overs so they had to have something very soft and flexable that would not get caught on the guys outfits, so they chose this one, but had theirs made without the hood, it is really cute.

Emi is totally loving her outfit for singing and a beginning tap dance to "Frosty the Snowman" .. She is so happy and all five girls in her class look sooooo adorable in their outfits. They do their dance and song during one of the set changes at our school Christmas show.

Mara is doing one Ballet dance they chose a cute little dress for their "White Christmas". The girls had fun going through catalogs and the internet trying to find something that they all loved. This one ended up being their favorite, no real tutu, but the girls love it, I guess that is what matters most.

Then Taryn's class for tap picked out a really neat outfit for their dance. It has this scroll work on the material that is so delicate and beautiful, this dress just has a really neat classy look to it. They are dancing to a little melody of Christmas songs and hit several styles of tapping. I think this is one of my favorite costumes this year. Taryn looks sooooo good in those colors too, she wants a dress like it with a longer skirt to just wear. Nana might have a lot of work cut out for her. LOL!!

Taryn's Jazz dance to "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree" is a kewl rocked up version and they wanted something cute for it so they had these outfits done. Taryn is wearing the blue, they have a mixture of all the colors. This is so much fun, I love all the KEWL outfits everyone has to choose from.

Ok, for right now that is all the costumes we have to share, but I have a couple outfits to share that Marsali, Loryn and Tirya are wearing to play piano and violin. Marsali, Taryn and Loryn all play piano and then Marsali plays the violin too.

For Marsali's Piano and Violin playing at the studio Christmas Show, Marsali chose this dress. She was ecstatic to find it as she looked at it last year and did not get it, it is so beautiful. She said it is ok with her that it is a year out of date and she looks beautiful.

Then Taryn went for a really elegant dress for her piano solo, she is happy to find one in blue that she is really impressed with. Emi wants one to match it too, she loves blue and snowflake styles like Taryn. Marsali almost got this one in purple. It is a very beautiful dress. Taryn is thinking of doing pagents, so she could use this dress in them.

And last for today are Loryn's dresses for her piano solo's, and Christmas Caper Show .. So we have this one which is what she is wearing for her piano concerts. She will be able to wear it again it is just so beautiful and grown up on her.

This other one is what she is wearing for the end of the Christmas Caper play during their 'party' on the show, all the girls are dressed up really fancy and do a slow waltz dance with the guys at the end, it will be soooo beautiful with all the dresses.

Well that is everyone for now, "The Christmas Caper" show is doing mostly just plain clothes for the acting scenes, then the dancers and singers that come out to join the lead rolls during a musical part have neat fun normalish outfits. LOL!!

Added Music!!

Howdy everyone, well we went with the crowd and added that annoying music to our blog. We thought since we were into the Christmas season already we would add a little Christmas music. We went for the old Bing Crosby and such music to be different from others, and we put the icon up close to the top so you can stop it if it is bugging you. I know some people hate the music on blogs.

Loryn decided that since she has six nights of The Christmas Caper and it would give the understudy a chance to preform she is going to do both nights of her skate show and let the girl under her do one night of the musical. Her professor agreed that it was the smartest thing to do because she is the only one that they have to do the routine for the skate show. So she is all figured out now and working on getting ready for all her shows.

I am sure glad that I do not have all the responsibility that Loryn always takes on for herself. She is always so busy with school, skate and dance anyway and these holidays just show you how much. She is crazy. LOL!!

We did some indoor photo's today, none of them turned out great because our lighting in the house is not very good, but it has been too cold and snowy to go outdoors for photo's. Here is one of the four of us main posters on the blog ..

Now the only other color that the polarbear sweaters come in is pink, and since none of us will wear pink, Jayd decided to be really different and wear her sweater mama made her a couple years ago. It is really cute too. I think it turned out cute of us girls together.

We made new photo's for our posts too. Here they are, what do ya think??

So we will have new photo's now. Finally!! We have had our others since somewhere around the middle of summer. Once Tirya gets home from her traveling we will have family photo's again but she has not been home for a year. Marsali and I got one taken for our facebook page too.

So we are going to put that on tonight sometime. Right now we are busy drinking 'Pumpkin Pie Eggnog Spice Tea' .. Nana made us all a steaming cuppa tea and we are relaxing around the fire trying to keep all warm and toasty.

To catch up on everyone, Loryn is having a wonderful time learning all her new lines, moves, and music, but we hardly ever see her as it is and now it is worse. She is hardly ever home for dinner anymore because of her late practices.

Brya, Vienna, and Emi are all working hard on their lines and dances, but at least they are normally home for dinner with the family. That is one thing that I really miss about summer is all of us kids getting together for dinner, it just does not happen during the school year.

Ok, time to go and do some blog reading myself.

Two Things or More!!

Well I was afraid of this, one of my ice-skate shows are on the same night as one of my Christmas Caper shows. Aaaaaahhhhhhhh .. .. .. so I have a very important decision to make, ice-skating or musical??

I am really into my acting/singing/dancing and skating. I would really like to do ice-capades, Disney on ice or something like that. But I love acting and dancing a lot too, yet skating is like dancing and I really love it. It is a really hard decision to make.

I have six nights of "The Christmas Caper" and only two nights of the Ice Show, so maybe I should let the understudy do one night of 'The Christmas Caper' and I should do both my nights of the Ice Show?? What do you all think??

This is soooooo hard .. grrrrr .... I do not want to let either my coach or my professor down by missing a night. At least my piano concert is earlier than the show so I can do both. Sometimes I think I am too busy, but honestly I LOVE it. LOL!!

Now I just have to make a decision. Aaaahhhh .. .. ..

Thanksgiving is Coming!!

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? We hit a blizzard today, it was cold and snowing on our trip to Wallowa, Oregon. That is near where Kaya's stories took place at Wallowa Lake. We love to visit the lake but did not get to go and see it today.

Marsali and I are excited, we found out that we are going to our cousins house in Tri-Citites for Thanksgiving this year. Mama and Mary are going to try to make us turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner. Mama is bringing deserts for us to have a big desert day too .. lol .. we are ready for pumpkin pie and great little munchies too.

Mama and Jayd are sooooo excited about the new Disney Pixar movie coming out "Brave" .. A Scottish Princess .. Curly Red Hair .. Sword Fighting Girl ..Jayd is going insane wanting to see that movie NOW!!

If you know Jayd at all, you know she is all about her Scottish heritage and wants to go back in time and visit the Scottish highlands. She is worried about how it is going to be with language and stuff, but we plan on going to Tri-Cities and make our cousins go with to see it.

Brave is set to be released on June 22, 2012 in the U.S. and Canada.

Well, I am going to finish my homework so that I can have the weekend off to play and enjoy myself.

Marsali N Taryn!!

Hello Everyone, here we are posting our news .. LOL!!

I am so excited .. this is Mara, anyway I am happy to let you know I am playing two solo's in our Christmas concert/dance show at the studio I study at, it is going to be so much fun. I get to play "The Night Before Christmas" on my violin for the ballet dancers and then a really rocked up piano version of "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree", for the jazz dancers, then I dance ballet to "White Christmas". I am so happy to get good parts for our Christmas Show.

Hello dear friends, Taryn here now. You know I have still not found my nitch in life. I am playing in our Christmas show with Mara, I play piano during one of the breaks, a melody of different Christmas carols. Then I do a jazz dance to 'Rocking Around the Christmas Tree', and a tap dance to a Christmas Melody Mix. I still have not found where I fit in yet. I am just not sure what to take for spring because I like piano, jazz and tap, but they are not my real joy.

Most of my sisters have a complete decision of what they want in life, but I am just not sure where I fit. My joys are traveling and meeting new people, and taking photos of stuff. I love my photography, so that is at least something. Mama says I will decide what I love, but it is hard in a houseful of sisters and a brother who knows just who they are. At least Jayd, Kelsyee and I will be good guests and watch our sisters preform and have great parts in neat Christmas shows. LOL!!

We are watching an OLD version of 'The Christmas Carol' tonight, Alister Sim, and it is a very old black and white version. I love this one, the end when he wakes up and starts being nice he stands on his head and then scares his housekeeper so much. LOL!! Mama is soooo into Christmas this year for the first time in years.

Marsali is watching her movie and I am going to go so we can watch something else afterwards, you cannot trust Mara to not rewind and watch the same thing over again.

The Christmas Caper N More!!

I am soooooo excited and totally overwhelmed for the Christmas season .. this year our school is doing "The Christmas Caper" for our Christmas theater production as our school focus is on theater and arts. It is a semi musical, dance show. I knew I was doing really well in advanced dance, and voice this year and hoped to get a part in the singing/dance group, I got fourth female lead. I am sooooo shocked because I did not expect that at all. It is going to be a lot of extra study for me, even as it is not a huge part it is the biggest I have ever had, but I am looking forward to it.

I was also really excited because my best friend Constance got the female lead this is out of grades 7th - 10th and we are in 8th this year. Nicole and I were sure that she was going to get it, she is the best in our school. The 11th and 12th graders preform in our local theater studios. Nicole got a really awesome part as one of the lead actor/dancers, she does not sing well, so she is more than happy with her part. I am so proud of them and my sisters.

We are a small enough school that the 7th - 10th grade takes part in the show. So Brya and Vienna will both be in the show too. Brya got a lead dance part with Nicole and has a back up singing/acting part too later in the show, she is really psyched about that. Vienna just got a small acting part but is playing violin in part of the music too, and she is doing quite a bit of painting on sets, she is a good artist.

During our set changes and costume changes the younger students do short acting or singing presentations and Emi was happy to be chosen to do an acting part for one and then sings with a group for another.

They wanted me to take one of the major piano parts but I got chosen for a lead part so someone else is going to play piano. Which is really ok for me because I play two solo piano pieces in our concert this year so have been working diligently on them.

Then I got to Ice-Skating and I have two performances in the ice show this year. I skate a duo with Brad to "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" our costumes are soooo kewl, they remind me of "White Christmas" it is more of a slow and very easy routine which I am so glad of. Then five of us have a free style skate to "A Jiggy Christmas" which is really fun because we do some crazy fun multi-person jumps together and the guys have to work really hard on this one. So as Mama always says, 'her over achiever is at it again'.

Me, I totally love it, I have to laugh because I am practicing my lines in my head all the time. And pretending to hit my dance and skating steps everywhere I walk. LOL!!

Anyway, we are all sooooo excited for this season to get started, we have a lot of work to put into it all this year, but we should have a ton of fun too. Our sister Tirya should be home for Christmas from her traveling in time to see all of our shows and we are so happy she is coming home.

Ok, I have chattered on enough, I have piano to practice and lines to go over, my ankles are sore after practicing for the "Jiggy Christmas" song .. that one is going to take a lot to get it all down with five of us working on it. LOL!! Crazy!!

Blogs We Are Following Or Not!!

Ok friends .. we are taking a break from sisters, mama was really sick for a few days and so she had some scheduled posts then 'nothing'. LOL

Now I am back to chat away. What would you guys like to see on the blog?? We used to have a fun blog that people liked to comment on and read, but lately it has been really slow and we want to make our blog fun to be part of again, so PLEASE comment and let us know what you want to see different. What would make our blog a better more fun site again?

Tonight Mama and I went through our followed blogs. We have not gone through them in almost a year now. That is a long time to just keep adding blogs and never take any off. We had 238 blogs on our two lists. That was insane. LOL

First we went through and opened EVERY blog there was in the list .. one by one .. crazy. Any blogs that had not posted in three months, went bye bye. There were close to 25 that had been closed by their owners. It was sad to see some of those go because we really used to love keeping up with them, but mama says that every one changes.

We kept some of the blogs that were a lot older if we knew the people, mostly traveling doll blogs that had been to visit us, just in case they ever went out again. We will take them off next time, but we purged so many tonight.

Now, .. .. .. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT .. .. .. if we deleted your blog and you follow and read us leave a comment and we will come follow yours again. We only deleted ones not being posted on, but I will not guarantee we did not mess up. Or, if you have a new blog we are not following let us know. We love to follow blogs and keep up with all the latest news if they are being posted on.

Also remember we have two different lists, those we talk to and write back and forth on and then another list farther down the list for the people we do not know good or the ones who do not post much. So feel free to comment and tell me to move your blog if you do not like being in the bottom list. LOL if I hear from you then we can be considered talking. LOL!!

Well I am going to sign off tonight because this is a BORING post to write and I have said all that I am going to say. LOL!!
